The aim of the Protection Journey is to learn about the importance of identifying catastrophic risks and their relationship with the conservation of cultural heritage in Castilla y León, as it is the first step to detect threats to buildings, collections and other cultural manifestations in our community; to understand how the incidence of climate change related to the increase in natural disasters, and other anthropic causes due to human action, represent a continuous risk for cultural assets in Castilla y León; and to raise awareness of the problem of heritage conservation, for the subsequent implementation of preventive actions or response and recovery in case of emergency.
