25 de May de 2022

On June 15, 2022, will be celebrated Conference on Risk Analysis and Emergency Management in Cultural Heritage organized by the Community of Madrid in the auditorium of El Águila, with the aim of promoting coordination between the different agents involved in the rescue and safeguarding of cultural heritage and to raise awareness of the importance of its conservation.

Under the scientific coordination of Charo Fernández de las Heras, the conference will be the first meeting of specialists dedicated to the prevention, planning and implementation of protocols for action in case of emergencies in cultural heritage and seeks to emphasize the preservation of heritage in the face of the risks to which it is exposed: from natural catastrophes such as earthquakes, floods or volcanic eruptions, to vandalism or armed conflicts.

At the same time, it will serve as a starting point to publicize the safeguarding files, a tool developed and promoted by the General Subdirectorate of Historical Heritage for the operational management in cases of emergency in properties protected as Cultural Interest Assets or Heritage Assets of the Community of Madrid.
