Stefano Magnolo is a researcher and associate professor at the University of Salento (Lecce - Italy). He has been a member of the Center for Risk Studies at the same university and visiting researcher at German and Spanish universities and research centers. From 2001 to 2015 he has taught Sociology; General Theory of Law; Sociology of Law; Society, Law and Media at the Faculty of Law (University of Salento). From 2016 to 2021 he has been Professor of Sociology of Law and Social Change at the Faculty of Communication Sciences of the same university. His lines of research are currently shifting from socio-legal to socio-cultural topics, such as: law, science and technology; scientific communication; art and science; media and knowledge; memory and intangible cultural heritage. He is coordinator of the research group "Culture as a good and as a means" of the Department of Legal Sciences of the University of Salento.
