This study examines how cultural heritage can be better protected from the effects of armed conflicts, in Ukraine and beyond. It includes an analysis of the applicable international law and policy frameworks and the practice of key international actors in Ukraine, as well as in past conflicts. It concludes with a set of specific recommendations to the EU and its Member States to strengthen the protection of cultural heritage from the effects of armed conflicts, now and in the future.
This study aims to assess whether two publicly available sources of fire threats to 346 Cultural World Heritage Sites across Europe substitute or complement each other. By doing so, a novel measure based on information from the UNESCO periodic report II is created and benchmarked against the European forest fire information system (EFFIS) index.

El objetivo de este trabajo es desarrollar un Índice de Daños por Inundaciones para el Patrimonio Cultural (FDICH) basado en SIG que (i) pondere la exposición en función del nivel de catalogación, (ii) pondere la vulnerabilidad en función de una taxonomía ad hoc, (iii) proporcione una densidad de daños por unidad de superficie en lugar de una clasificación por puntos.

This preliminary report provides a detailed overview of the importance of Gaza’s heritage, including an explanation of its most important heritage landmarks and highlighting key sites affected during a month of war. This study is intended to teach and raise awareness among the international community of the fact that the Palestinian people of Gaza are suffering the loss of their heritage, history and cultural identity, along with their significant humanitarian suffering resulting from this war.
This study provides a global view of the current state of fires in historic and heritage buildings. It identifies gaps and gaps, proposes future areas of research and provides a basis for finding solutions to achieve fire safety in historic and heritage buildings. The conservation of these buildings and their rehabilitation against demolitions and new construction is promoted, leading to more sustainable construction.
