This work aims to establish the criteria and guidelines that allow establishing with the greatest possible precision the economic value of the assets in the earthquake damage insurance contract, applied to the properties that are part of the historical heritage. To do this, the situation caused by the earthquake that affected the city of Lorca on May 11, 2011 will be specifically analyzed, causing significant losses to various properties of its historical-artistic heritage. The methodology used is based on determining the existing relationships between the economic parameters integrated by the value of the buildings and the costs of reconstruction or repair of damage, and the characteristics of the historical heritage properties linked to their vulnerability to action. seismic.
